Purpose + Beliefs
Virtue 31 Women’s Ministry (a ministry of God’s House of the Apostolic Faith) is a Bible-based women’s fellowship ministry and network. We seek to base; all of our beliefs, our lifestyle, and all ministerial activities on explicit passages of the bible and/or on biblical principles.
We are Christian women of Virtue positively and purposefully influencing our culture. We are on assignment, on a mission, we have a goal in mind to reach women from all over the world through the life changing message of Jesus Christ.
Our Key Mission and Focus
- Preach and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ;
- Teach, train, equip, exhort, and nurture other Christian women Believers;
- Conduct the work of evangelism and discipleship, through spreading the Gospel, living out our faith; and
- Promote biblical fellowship and unity (in and outside of traditional church settings) amongst Christian women believers.
Our Biblical Beliefs
THE WORD OF GOD: The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, written by holy men. It is the source of instruction for all believers. There is One God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man, referred to in scripture as the Godhead. Speaking of Christ, Colossians 2:9 says “for in Him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily”. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:6-14; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16)
SALVATION: Salvation comes by: a) faith in Jesus Christ; b) confession of ones sins; c) repentance from sins; d) water baptism (full immersion in water) in the name of Jesus Christ; and d) receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. All of these are biblical essentials for salvation and symbolizes being born again of both the water and of the Spirit. (Acts 2:1-4, 38; 4:12, 8:12-19; 10:43-48; 19:1-6; I Corinthians 14:22; John 3:3-5; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:1-6; 1 Peter 3:21)
RECEIVING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: Jesus Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit. We believe that you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and that receiving the Holy Spirit is a promise from God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God which He wants to fill each believer with. Receiving the Holy Spirit is necessary for being set free from sin and receiving power and authority from God to keep His Word, live holy, and do His will. (Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 2:38-39; Ezekiel 36:25-27; Romans 8:1-12)
We believe that the Holy Spirit dwelling in us is our guarantee of being born again and adopted into the Royal Family of God Almighty. (John 1:1-13; Romans 8:14-17; 2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5; Ephesians 1:14)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to:
- Them that believe (John 4:14; 7:37-39, and Mark 16:17-18);
- Those who ask (Luke 11:13);
- Those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6);
- Those who obey Him (Acts 5:32);
- Those who repent (Acts 2:38); and
- Those who love Him above all others (John 14:15-23)
We believe that receiving the Holy Spirit is an essential part of the “born again experience”. (John 3:1-10; Acts 8:14-19; 19:1-7). There must be full and sincere repentance in order to receive the Holy Spirit. Repentance is essential for receiving the Holy Spirit.
HOLINESS: We believe that all women who profess Christ must live a life that is holy, sanctified and consecrated unto the Lord. We believe holiness is reflective of the lifestyle one lives, actions, words spoken, conduct and manner in which a women dresses and presents herself unto Christ and others. We believe that the Holy Spirit and conscience will direct the spiritually-minded believers to properly represent Christ.
MARRIAGE: We believe that marriage is honored and ordained by God between one natural born man and one natural born woman. As a biblically-based ministry, we affirm our position and commitment to God and the Holy Bible. Furthermore, we oppose and do not support nor recognize any unions of same sex marriage or similar relationships which is deemed by God as one of many variations of sexual sins. We do not condone cohabitation nor sex before marriage nor cohabitation and sex in preparation of marriage as an engaged couple. (Genesis 2:1-25)
FELLOWSHIP: We believe that fellowship amongst believers is an essential aspect of the early church and even more important for the 21st century church. Fellowship is necessary with the Saints at the churches we attend and necessary for the believer to become more acquainted with those who lead, serve and attend church amongst them and to meet new Saints. Fellowship strengthens and is an opportunity for grow. (Psalm 133; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:25)
