Read: 2 Peter 3:10-12; 14-18, Luke 12:35-40 and Ephesians 5:15
God is doing a clean sweep in the land. He is…
- Uprooting, planting, and stirring;
- Searching and inspecting from inside out and from the outside in;
- Setting things ablaze;
- Parting the scalps looking through hairs;
- Looking down ear tunnels;
- Peeking down mouths;
- Smelling the odor of breaths;
- Inspecting garments;
- Taking off socks looking between toes;
- Looking under finger nails;
- Inspecting eyes, hands, noses, and legs;
- Listening to conversations;
- Reading the thoughts of the mind;
- Recording the rhythms and thoughts of one’s heart;
- Frisking pockets and examining pocket books; and
- Looking at you and I with a magnifying glass and taking a measurement of our spiritual stature
In Luke 12, Jesus is speaking to believers encouraging us to be found watching and looking for the coming of the Lord. We must guard the act, the person, the place, the condition and the time. We must be sleepless in the spirit, keeping awake, vigilant, not laxed, nor indifferent or unconcerned.
These are the days when the Lord is looking for a people that are living life carefully because they know He is watching.
These are the days when it is necessary to take heed to the word of God.
The days when we are watching at His gates for the next word He shall speak unto us…
The days when our faith is increasing to a level that blows our own minds…
The days when we are thirsty for a fiery trial, tribulation or persecution to come up on us so that we may be proven of the Lord…
The days when we must desire to be completely spent for the Lord…
The days when serving and pleasing the Lord is more important than pleasing others…
The days when we must be willing to die for His name’s sake.
He is watching us like a hawk with a keen and focused eye, looking to see what we are doing, when we are doing it and how we are doing it.
Will the Son of Man, the Lord Jesus Christ find you and I watching when He returns?
